Obituary

HYANNIS-Arthur L. Hart, 80, of Worcester, died Friday, June 25th in his home. His wife of 37 years, Elizabeth Hart, died in 2004. He leaves a son, Arthur Raymond Hart and his wife Gail of Douglas; a daughter, Patricia L. Laverty and her husband Thomas of Hyannis; three stepdaughters, Toni Oster and Marie Lavin, both of Worcester, and Mickie Levesque of Auburn; a sister, Carol M. LaHair of Worcester; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. His son, Thomas F. Hart died in 2001 and two sisters, Margaret A. Hart and Helen L. Millett predeceased him.
Mr. Hart was born in Worcester, the son of Arthur R. and Inez R. (Murray) Hart. He was a graduate of Ascension High School. Mr. Hart was a fork truck driver for U.S. Steel for 30 years and later worked for the Kesseli and Morse Company. He was a member of the former St. Catherine of Sweden Church and the Auburn/Webster Lodge of Elks. Mr. Hart was an avid Red Sox fan and coached and managed several baseball teams.
The funeral is Tuesday, June 29th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 600 Cambridge Street, Worcester. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Monday, June 28th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
