Sherry L. Goodell, 58, of Derry, NH, died Thursday, June 24, 2010 in the Derry Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Derry. Sherry was born in North Canaan, CT on August 25, 1951, a daughter of Richard and Marion B. (Bathrick) Wright. She was a resident of Derry off and on since 1978, formerly living in Wallingford, CT. Sherry was a graduate of Housatonic Valley Regional H.S. in Falls Village, CT, and had attended Career Academy (a Tufts University affiliate) in Boston, and attended Connecticut State University in Hartford, CT. She had been employed for Teledyne Corp in Londonderry, NH and Hudson, NH for 21 years. Sherry was a member of the First Congregational Church of Kingston in Kingston, NH. She enjoyed music and writing, and had many of her works published in trade journals.
She is survived by one daughter, Dawn M. Brown and husband Charles, III, of Manchester, NH; one son, Sean M. Goodell and wife Kerri of Derry; four grandchildren, Robert Goodell, Patrick Goodell, Charles Brown, IV, and Micah Goodell; four sisters, Diana Hawes of Salem, CT, Melody Wright of Tucson, AZ, Cathy Correa of Pelham, NH, and Kimberly Sullivan of Winstead, CT; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a memorial service was held on June 30th at 11:00am in the First Congregational Church of Kingston, 6 Church St., Kingston, NH. The burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry on Saturday, July 17th at 10:00am.
