Plummer O. Suggs, 87, Cumberland Furnace, died Friday, June 25, 2010, at Uffleman Estates. The funeral will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Melvin Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home and from 3:00 PM until the hour of service Sunday at the church. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born in Dickson Couty, the son of Hubert Suggs and Leesey Epps Suggs. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 61 years Virginia Edlin Suggs and his second wife Wilma Drye Suggs, also his parents, three brothers Lloyd, Leon, David and two sisters Marie and Millie. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, and Air Force Veteran.
He retired from the Civil Service and was a retired Insurance Business Owner. He is survived by two sons Mark(Donna) Suggs of Cumberland Furnace, Randy (Gloria) Suggs of Clarksville,four brothers Raymond, Norman, Harold and Ernie, three sisters Virginia Black, Helen Hayes and Francis Johnson, five grandchildren Marcus(Linda) Suggs, Justin(Kim) Suggs, Andrew Suggs, Clint (Leslie) Suggs and Erica(Lee) Smith and seven great grandchildren Brandon, Brady, Blake, Shelby, Logan, Gracey and Noah. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Thanks to Dr. David and Carol Williams for all their years of dedication and service. A special thank you to Mary Birdwell-his nurse and wonderful caregiver, whose dedication and care, is more that anyone could have ask for.
