Laconia----Carol Diamond Fay, 65, of Fore Street, died on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the Lakes Region General Hospital.
Carol was born September 26, 1944 in Winchester, Mass., the daughter of the late Charles and Norma (Oliva) Fairneny. She graduated from Wakefield (Mass.) High School in 1962.
Carol held a N.H. Real Estate Broker’s license for sixteen years and was active in residential sales. She was employed as a secretary by S & W Manufacturing of Laconia for several years and Fire Clean Up Services of Belmont for several years.
Carol enjoyed motorcycle riding, boating, playing tennis, racquetball, bowling, walking, gambling and hand crafts. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Wilkins Smith Post No. 1 of Laconia.
Carol is survived by her husband, Robert C. Fay, of Laconia; a son and daughter-in-law, David C. and Roxanne Diamond of Hudson; stepchildren, LeeAnn Fay Ellis of Gilford and Bobby Fay of Laconia; four grandchildren, Alexandria Diamond and Robert Diamond both of Hudson and Dawson Ellis and Meredith Ellis both of Gilford; a sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Robert Hayes, of Enfield; one niece; a great niece and a great nephew; uncles; aunts and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Michele Diamond.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 6:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
