Joseph DeLuca, 90 of Medford, died Tuesday after a long illness in the VA Boston Healthcare System West Roxbury Campus, West Roxbury, MA.
Born in Boston, he lived in Medford since 1971 and formerly of Roslindale and the West End of Boston. He was the son of the late Giuseppaina (Aloisi) and Gaetano. Joseph was a Mail Handler at the South Postal Annex for 33 years and retired in 1985. He served during World War II in the US Navy from 1942 to 1945 as a Water Tender Second Class. Joseph was a member of the DAV and a Tin Can Sailor.
Beloved husband of the late Anna (Cianci) DeLuca. Devoted father of Janice and Paula DeLuca both of Medford. Brother of the late Frances Galli, Carmella, Frank and Salvatore DeLuca.
A funeral service will be held in the Malden First Church of the Nazarene, 529 Eastern Ave., Malden, Tuesday at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Monday 4 – 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
