Obituary

Antonio Capone, of Holly Hill, FL formerly of Reading, passed away June 23rd at the Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell following a lengthy illness, he was 71 years of age. Mr. Capone was the beloved husband of Angelica (Barletta) and together they recently celebrated fifty years of marriage.

Mr. Capone retired in 1999 from the Market Basket Food Stores where he worked as a meat cutter for more than twenty years. Mostly devoted to his loving family, he also enjoyed playing cards, bocce and fishing throughout his life. He was an active member of the Ormond Beach Moose Club, Elks Club and Italian American Club.

In addition to his beloved wife, Mr. Capone is survived by his daughter, Maryann Sullivan and her husband Michael of Lowell, son Anthony R. Capone and his wife Jean Marie of Andover. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Stephen Sullivan, Anthony "A.J." Capone, and Emily Capone. He is further survived by his sister, Maria Botello and her husband Ralph of Medford, one brother, Franz Capone of Hollywood, FL, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Saturday, June 26th, at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday from 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Antonio's memory to Saints Medical Center-Lowell, 155 Merrimack St., PO Box 7075, Lowell, MA 01852 or Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Lawrence, MA 01843 or the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
