Adelaide S. Gomes, 85
TEWKSBURY: Adelaide S. (Coelho) Gomes, age 85, died Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at the Blaire House of Tewksbury.
She was the widow of Joel A. Gomes who died in 1987.
Born in Portugal on June 29, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Alvaro and Rosa (Duarte) Coelho.
Mrs. Gomes was raised and educated in Portugal. In 1968, she and her family immigrated to Somerville, Mass where she lived until moving to Tewksbury in 1989.
She is survived by 2 daughters; Anna M. Theroux and her husband Lawrence of Tewksbury and Isabel Gomes Morey of Billerica; her former son-in-law; Richard Morey of Billerica; 3 grandchildren; Richard Morey, Jr. of Vermont, Kristina Morey Boldebuck and her husband Jonathan of Virginia and Nicole A. Theroux of Tewksbury ; also many relatives and friends in Portugal.
Mrs. Gomes was the grandmother of the late Joel K. Morey.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Friday at 10:30 a.m. from the FARMER & DEE FUNERAL HOME, 16 LEE ST., TEWKSBURY, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury.
