Lawrence, MA- Florence C. (Watson) Dugan, 78, known to her friends as “Sisty”, died unexpectedly, Monday June 21, 2010 at home.
Born and educated in Lawrence, Florence was born on July 4th, 1931, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Fraser) Watson.
In early years she worked in the Wood Mills as a stitcher. For many years, Florence worked at Western Electric until her retirement.
Florence was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Lawrence, where she sang in the choir. She was very close to her friends and family and will be missed by all.
The widow of the late Joseph F. Dugan, Florence is survived by her son Joseph F. Dugan Jr., her sister, Isobel Crotch of Fairhaven, MA, her brother, Douglas Watson and his wife Terry of Windham, NH as well as several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her sister Dorothy Shorten and her brother John Watson.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, June 24th from 4-8PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday morning at 10 AM at the funeral home with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
