Obituary

MESA, AZ: Anthony J. “Tony” D’Antonio, 50, formerly of Lanesville, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 18, 2010.
Born in Inglewood, California on January 22, 1960, he was the son of Anna E. (Putaansuu) D’Antonio and the late Ralph A. “Fred” D’Antonio. He was a graduate of the Gloucester High School class of 1978.
In his earlier years, Tony had worked as a sword fisherman. He was also employed by Varian Extrion in the late 1980’s. He had been residing in Arizona for the past eight years, where he had been an appliance salesman.
He was known to be an easy-going person with a quick wit, who was fast to make friends where ever he went. A loving and devoted son, brother, uncle and friend, he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Terri Hilshey, David D’Antonio, Peter D’Antonio, Paul, husband of Kimberly D’Antonio and Jackie, wife of Michael Silva. He is also survived by his former spouse, Leah Gleason, his godmother, Sally Ericson, sister-in-law, Valerie D’Antonio, brother-in-law, Nick Parisi, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, including Butch Oliver and Cordilia Meyers. He will be joining his departed father, sisters, Mary Parisi and Sylvia Thorndike and brother, John D’Antonio.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning, June 30th in the Holy Family Parish, St. Ann Church at 11 a.m. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to Camp del Corazon (a summer camp for children with heart disease) at 11615 Hesby St., No. Hollywood, CA 91601 or www.campdelcorazon.org. Committal services will be held privately.
