Hibbs, Barbara “Barbie” Helen, 56, of Louisville, who was an angel to everyone who knew her, passed away with her family by her side and went to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
She was a catholic by faith and a participant of the Mattingly Center.
Barbie is preceded in death by her father, Earl J. Hibbs; step-father, Carter R. Harris; and special friend, Carlton Lindsey.
Survivors include her mother, Alene T. Harris; brothers, Earl, Jr. (Teresa), Guy (Vicky), and Steven Hibbs (Peggy); sisters, Earlene Mills (Wayne) and Valerie Kiser (Kenneth); along with many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with interment in Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington, KY. Visitation will be from 10am-8pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family of Barbie want to give special thanks to Dr. Becker and Dr. Moore who took care of her for several years.
Everyone that Barbie met, she touched in a special way.
