Woonsocket
Laurette E. (Poisson) Hetu 91, of 547 Clinton St, died Sunday at Rhode Island Hospital. She was one of thirteen children born in St. Hyacinthe, PQ Canada to the late Archille and Albertine (Laliberte) Poisson. Mrs. Hetu was a waitress at the former Roger's Diner for many years. She was a volunteer at the Senior Center for thirty years and a recipient of the Volunteer of the Year Award in 2000 and 2003.

She is survived by a son Leo Hetu of Woonsocket, two daughters, Claudette Desjardins of Jacksonville, FL and Flora DiRosario of Cumberland, nineteen grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons Marcel and Gerald Hetu.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Milk Fund.
