Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton, Monday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-4 and 6-8pm. Donations in David’s name may be made to the Brockton Visiting Nurse Association, 500 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA 02301.

Died Wednesday evening at Boston Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Boston son of Lillian (Whalen) Scott and the late William Scott. Raised in Boston, attended schools in Boston and Milton, and was a graduate of Milton High School. He continued his education and graduated from the University of Boston, with a degree in Finance. He was an employee of Verizon in Cambridge and Taunton for 35 years working as a computer technician. Member of the VFW, IBEW Local 103 and a member of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Group at the Brockton Hospital. He was a SGT in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War serving 2 tours of duty.
He is survived by his wife Catherine J. Dacey-Scott, his mother Lillian Scott of St. Albans, VT, 4 daughters Kimberly Jenkinson of Pembroke, Jennifer Lynch of Brockton, Cheryl Snyder of Brockton, and Robin Thrasher of Plymouth and 1 son Richard Matson of Florida. Also survived by 10 grandchildren 2 brothers, William Scott of St. Albans, VT and Robert Scott of Malden, MA6 sisters, Lillian Davis of Louisiana, Gail Rudlong of Minnesota, Patricia Lannigan of Weymouth, Marjorie Messina of Malden, Barbara Hulbert of Montgomery VT, and Lorraine Scott of St. Albans, VT Many nieces and nephewsBrother of the late Martin Thomas Scott and Charles “Buddy” Scott
