Manchester– Helen Margaret Lillis, 98, died June 19, 2010 at Ridgewood Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Manchester on February 15, 1912 the daughter of Albert and Victoria (Sienko) Swist.
She had worked in the Waumbec Mills, J.F. McElwain Shoe and lastly for the Elliot Hospital in the medical records department. She was an avid Red Sox fan and reader, she also enjoyed bingo and gardening.
She was predeceased by her husband James Lillis on November 15, 1991, and her step son Stanley Lillis in 1993.
Family members include her son Richard Walas, of Manchester, 4 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
Services: Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM in St. Hedwig Church, corner of Beech and Orange Sts.
Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
