In Taunton, June 18, 2010 Mary M. Mulholland, age 93, passed away in Morton Hospital after a brief period of failing health under the care of Beacon Hospice. Mary was born in Taunton to her late parents Bernard & Louisa (Connolly) Mulholland. Mary attended Taunton schools and graduated from St. Mary’s High School and a faithful parishioner of St. Mary’s Church. Mary worked at General Electric, Liggett’s and Haskon's. The highlight of her love of travel was her visit to Rome in the 1970’s when she saw the Holy Father. An enthusiastic recounter of family lore, Mary was a great story teller and was known for her wonderful sense of humor. Mary is survived by her nephews; James Batch of Taunton, Barry Mulholland of Cincinnati, Brian Mulholland of Chicago and her nieces; Ann Kelley of North Kingstown, R.I. and Kathleen Pesta of Wakefield, R.I. She was predeceased by her brothers; James, John, Francis (Chunky) and Charles, and her sisters; Louise Batch and Sr. Mary Louisa. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton, visitation Tuesday prior to her funeral mass from 8:30-9:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 22nd in St. Mary’s Church at 10am. Interment will be in the family lot in St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
