EVANS – Ms. Dorothy Parrott Hope, 89, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Brandon Wilde.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 22, at 2:00 PM at Brandon Wilde, which is located at 4275 Owens Road in Evans, Georgia.
Ms. Hope, a native of Florence County, S.C., and the daughter of Henry Thomas Cale, Jr. and Mettie P. Cale, was a long time resident of Arlington, VA. She was a graduate of George Mason University and also studied at Catholic University. She was a retired U.S. Senate aide, where she worked many years as a constituent case worker. She was a member of the Senate Staff Club, the Older Women’s League, as well as a volunteer with both the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army. She has lived in Evans since January 1992.
She is survived by three granddaughters, Carol Bruce (Dean) of Cumming, GA, Pamela Espich (Rex) of Monroe, GA, and Laura Kate Baker of Tucker, GA, a daughter in law, Rae Baker of Cumming, GA, two great grandchildren, Sarah and Sam Bruce, two nieces, Ann Cale Kruger (Mel) and Elaine Overall, and two nephews, Robert L. Cale, Jr. (Susan), and James Overall. She is predeceased by her son Bruce N. Baker, Jr, her sister Lucille Overall, and her brother Robert L. Cale, Sr.
