Raymond Hashim, 81, passed away on May 18, 2010 surrounded by his loving family at his home in Florida. He was the beloved husband of Grace Hashim and the late Dolores (Gervais) Hashim-Gibson. Ray was born in Fall River on April 16, 1929 a son of the late William & Zahlia (Kalif) Hashim. Ray was employed in Fall River as a textile worker & a businessman before moving to Florida in 1972. Besides his wife he leave his daughter Jude Hashim of Fall River and his sons William Hashim of Fall River & Steve Hashim of Somerset along with his step-daughters Diane & JoAnne both of Florida and his grandchildren Jason Hashim & Justin Hashim of Fall River, Steve Hashim living in China, Kyleen Hashim of Washington DC, AE Tyler Hashim stationed in Norfolk, VA & Evan Hashim of Somerset, along with his many nephews and nieces & extended family members and friends. Ray was a Korean War Army veteran and a member and past president of the American Lebanese Veterans Association. Ray was the last surviving brother of the late Mary, Alice, Charlie, Mike, George & Phil Hashim.
A Memorial Service to which relatives & friends are invited will be held on Sunday, June 27 at 11AM at Calvary United Presbyterian Church, 216 Harrison St. Fall River.
