Laconia, NH-----Jean C. L’heureux, 78, of 16 Bell Hill Drive, died at the Concord Hospital, Concord, surrounded by his family on Thursday, June 17, 2010.
Jean was born February 21, 1932 in Salem, Mass., the son of Raoul and Yvonne (Bouchard) L’heureux. He lived in Wallingford, Conn. for many years before moving to Laconia thirteen years ago.
Jean was an Engineering Checker in the Aircraft industry for thirty nine years for United Technologies.
Jean was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Laconia and was a member of the Laconia Athletic and Swim Club and the Interlakes Fifty Plus Club. He volunteered at the LRGH Healthlink and he enjoyed crossword puzzles and craft painting.
Survivors include his wife of fifty three years Claudette (Caron) L’heureux of Laconia; two sons, Daniel L’heureux and his wife, Glenice, of Laconia, Ronald L’heureux and his wife, Marie, of Morris, OK.; a daughter, Janet Alcorn and her husband, Donald, of Rockville, MD.; six grandchildren, Tyler and Gregory L’heureux, Emily and Madeline Alcorn, Zach and Rachel Lanehart; two brothers, Philip L’Heureux, of Glen, NH and Robert L’heureux, and his wife, Gloria, of Salem, Mass.; four sisters, Emma Wright, of San Antonio, TX, Patricia L’heureux and Alice L’heureux both of Salem, Mass.; and Marguerite DesJardins and her husband, Conrad, of No. Woodstock, NH., and many nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Raoul and Gerard L’heureux and by his twin sister Jeannette L’heureux.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 21, 2010 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
