Obituary

WORCESTER____Mary A. (Katkauskas) Bruazis, 90, of Worcester, died Friday Nov. 7 in St. Vincent Hospital. Her husband, Joseph M. Bruazis died in 1969.

She is survived by a daughter, Joan M. Amelotte of Cape Neddick, Me., a sister, Lillian Tarutis of Norwood; two grandchildren; Susan Schnyer of Westmoreland, NH., and Paul M. Amelotte of Killington, Vt., and a nephew, Robert Tarutis of Norfolk. She was born in Brooklyn, New York the daughter of John and Ona (Lemintenvichute) Katkauskas and later lived in Hyde Park and has resided in Worcester for many years.

Mrs. Bruazis was a member of St. Casimirs Church, the Knights of Lithuania, Council 26 and was a member and treasurer of The Lithuanian Womens Club. She was a volunteer in the gift shop at the Worcester Senior Center, Providence St., and was a volunteer at St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center and worked as a volunteer there Nov. 3. She had been the manager of the gift shop at the old St. Vincent Hospital.

The funeral will be held on Monday Nov. 10 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Casimirs Church, 41 Providence St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.A calling hour will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday Nov. 10 in the funeral home. Knights of Lithuania will meet at 9 a.m. during the calling hour for their ritual.
