William Reese Browning, 97, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Thursday, June 17 at Dorminy Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M., Saturday, June 19 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery, Wheeler County. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Browning was born October 23, 1912 in Wheeler County to the late Brayford and Luella Patten Browning. He lived in Fitzgerald most of his life. Mr. Browning retired from H.R. Kaminsky & sons as the custodian. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Browning is survived by a sister-in-law: Daisy Browning of Augusta and was a beloved uncle to Betty McClain of Augusta, Brenda (Alan) Anthony of Appling, Vicki (Mike) Wojtaszek of Augusta, Tommy (Robin) Browning of Augusta, Debbie (Gene) Shirey of Appling, Dwayne (Debbie) Carter of Waycross and Linda (David) Karle of Pennsylvania and several great nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Carolyn Lloyd Browning, 2 sisters, Annie Lee Browning and Dorothy M. Carter and 1 brother, James Browning.
