New Bedford-Jean P. Lopes age 52 years died Wednesday June 9th at St. Luke’s Hospital after a unexpectedly. He was the brother of Louis, and Theo of New Bedford, Patrick of France, Pascal of Senegal, Veronique of France, Yvette of Pawtucket, RI, Fernanda of France, Marie Helene of New Bedford, Patricia and Gislaine of Holland, and the late Bernard Lopes. He is also survived by 10 nieces and 15 nephews.
Mr. Lopes was the son of Francisco Xavier Lopes of Senegal, and Maria Rosa (DaSilva) Lopes of New Bedford. Jean was a painter working with a construction Company.
Mr. Lopes’ Funeral Service will be Monday at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. at 11 A.M. Interment will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday from 6-8 P.M.
