Millard G. “Mal” Beltz, Jr., 75, went to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 16, 2010. Born in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of Helen Cisz and the late Millard G. Beltz Sr. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mal was a lifetime member of VFW Post 1181 and spent the last ten years as Chaplain. He was also a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and volunteered as a grounds keeper at Valley High School. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Beltz; a daughter, Patricia Miller; and a grandson, Josh Brown. He is survived by his loving wife, Delores Beltz; children, Dave Beltz (Michelle), Marty Beltz and Sandy Biggs (David); nine grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters. Funeral services will be 11 am Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Abundant Life Memorial Gardens, New Albany, IN. Visitation will be 1-8 pm Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family.
