Grace R. Ragno, 89, a lifelong resident of Mansfield passed away on Thursday June 17, 2010 at the Life Care Center in West Bridgewater..
Born in Mansfield, MA on August 31, 1920 she was a loving daughter of the late Fred and Alice (Delliacano) Ragno.
Gracie grew up in Mansfield and was educated in Mansfield public schools. Prior to retiring she was employed as a factory worker for over 25 years at the former Mansfield Bleachery.
A lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield, she was also a former member of the Catholic Women’s Club.
Gracie loved her home and was very particular in the upkeep and appearance of her yard, which she maintained herself for many years. Her family was also a very important part of her life and she enjoyed the many wonderful times spent in the presence of her devoted nieces and nephews. She also had a special place in her heart for animals
She was the loving aunt of Marie Blackader of St. Paul, Minnesota, Karen Adams of Mansfield, James McLaughlin, Jr. of Mansfield and the late Patrick McLaughlin. She was the dear sister of the late Filomena McLaughlin and Marie Ragno and is also survived by her brother in law James McLaughlin, Sr. of Mansfield as well as several grand nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Tuesday June 22nd at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visitation will be held prior to the Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield.
In lieu of flowers, Gracie’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to Old Colony Hospice One Credit Union Way Randolph, MA 02368-4633.
