Obituary

S. Attleboro: Robert O. Robbins 87, of South Attleboro, and a former Franklin resident, died Tuesday June 15, 2010 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Betty Jane (Bierck) Robbins.
Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, February 9, 1923 a son of the late William and Harriet (Davis) Robbins, he was raised and educated in Quincy, and was a 1941 graduate of North Quincy High School. Mr. Robbins was a retired vice president of sales for Sysco Food Service Company, in Norton where he worked for more than 17 years, until retirement.
He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He attained the rank of AM/2 and was awarded the WWII Victory Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged in December 1945.
He was a Charter member and Life member of the Franklin Lodge of Elks #2136, and a former member of the Norton Country Club. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed spending time with family, he was also a Boston Red Sox and Patriots fan, and was a longtime winter resident of Port Charlotte, Florida.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son; Kevin F. Robbins and his wife Deborah of Milford, 2 daughters; Karen L. Field and her husband Nelson of Wareham, Kathy L. DeLisle LPN of Marblehead, a brother Chandler J. Robbins of Weymouth, a sister Barbara R. Spinello of Lake Suzy, Fla., 2 stepsons; Michael Infantine of New Orleans, LA, Peter Infantine of Andover, 2 stepdaughters; Cheryl Rockett of Foxboro, Suzanne Dangelo of Franklin, 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral with military honors Saturday June 19th, at 12noon at the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, www.oterifuneralhome.com.
Interment will be held privately.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 10AM-12 noon.
