Ernest Carvalho, 85, of Westport died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at home with his family by his side. He was the husband of Marjorie A. (Bourbeau) Carvalho.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Manuel and Maria (Cordeiro) Carvalho, he had lived in Westport since 1980. Mr. Carvalho was a color mixer for the former River Edge Printing & Dyeing in Fall River until retiring and working at Our Lady of Grace Church in Westport. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Including his wife, survivors include a son: Robert E. “Robbie” Carvalho of Westport; a daughter: Beth Ann Carvalho of Dartmouth; a brother: Mickey Carvalho of NJ; 2 sisters: Alice D’Angelo of Warren, RI and Dolores Farias of Swansea; 2 grandchildren: Chad M. Carvalho and Aliah L. Carvalho; and several nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late John, Herman, David, Joseph and Arthur Carvalho, Irene Doster, Laura Martins and Mary Alves.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, June 18, 2010 at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
