Leonard A. “Harry” Spallone passed away on June 15, 2010. He was 79 years old.
Born and raised in Malden, Leonard was a lifelong resident of that city. He served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict and married Margaret “Marge” (Bonia) Spallone, his loving wife of 57 years. Leonard was a supervisor for Conant Controls of Medford for many years. After retirement he moved from Malden to Lynnfield where he lived for 15 years. He also worked with his son for the past 15 years at Saugus Auto Craft in Lynn. Leonard loved to go fishing with his son and friends in Nantucket every year. He enjoyed his children’s vacation homes in Maine and New Hampshire and travelling to Florida to see his son.
Leonard was the son of the late Vincent and Mary Spallone. He was the beloved father of Norine Dorazio of Salisbury, Vincent Spallone of Florida and Leonard M. Spallone and his wife Donna of Lynnfield. Leonard was the dear brother of Michael Spallone, Alessandra Zaia, Millie Robertson and the late Margaret Como. He was the cherished grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held from the A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, June 18th at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 758 Salem Street, Lynnfield at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday, June 17th from 4-8 p.m. Interment Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton.
