Obituary

Scott F. Lindquist, 50, died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was the loving husband of Jane (Powers) Lindquist, with whom he shared 27 years of marriage.
Born in Salem on Dec. 27, 1959, he was the son of the late Gus and Betty (Moore) Lindquist. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 1978.
For nearly thirty years, Scott was employed as an underwriter for Travelers Insurance. He had previously worked as a theater projectionist in the area, notably at the former Surf Theater in Swampscott.
A lifelong Danvers resident, he enjoyed traveling, especially to Ohio and Disneyworld. An avid walker, he enjoyed his daily treks with his beloved dog, Audrey.
In addition to his wife he leaves his son, Matthew Dizazzo of Beverly, two brothers, David and Paul Lindquist, both of Danvers, his mother-in-law, Barbara “Bags” Powers of Hamilton, his brothers- and sister-in-law, Donald Powers of Lynn and Allan and Marcie Powers of Danvers, his dear friends Jack and Maria Dingis of Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Kathie Lindquist.
His Funeral Service will be Friday, June 18, 2010 at 11:30AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-8PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Scott’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
