Obituary

John "Harry" Coconis, 86, a resident of Methuen, MA., passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre in Methuen.

Born in Methuen, Harry was educated in the Lawrence School System. He had worked and retired from the Bolta Rubber Company formerly known as General Tire. Harry had served in the United States Army during World War II where he had obtained the rank of Sergeant. He saw action while serving in Italy. Harry enjoyed horse and dog racing as well as working in the yard. He was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Andover, MA.

Members of Harry's family include:
his wife: Irene P. (Rokel) Coconis
a brother: Charles Coconis and his wife Anne Coconis of Methuen, MA.
sisters: Anastasia Cullen of Lawrence, MA, and Helen Bolt of Florida.
Brother-in-laws: George Rokel and his wife Jan Rokel of Windham, NH, and Sam Samperi of Methuen, MA. as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 71 Chandler Road, Andover, MA. Entombment will follow in the St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Chapel Mausoleum in Lawrence, MA.
