WEBSTER – Ora B. (Pepin) Champagne, 94, of 11 Pontiac Avenue, formerly of Golden Heights, died Thursday, November 6, in Oakwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Her husband of 64 years, Peter H. Champagne, died in 1991.
She leaves a son, Robert P. Champagne, Sr. and his wife Judith M Champagne of Webster; a brother, Dona Pepin of South Gate, California; a sister, Rosa Paquette of Santa Barbara, California; 3 grandsons, Robert P. Champagne, Jr., Kirk and Michael Champagne; a granddaughter, Judith Belezos; 5 great grandchildren, and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a grandson, Joseph Champagne, and by 2 brothers, Hector and Emile Pepin, and by 2 sisters, Dora Jastrzebski and Antionette McNeil.
She was born in Webster, daughter of the late Dorilla and Naomi (Landry) Pepin.
Mrs. Champagne was a stitcher at Cranston Print Works Company for 7 years before she retired. Previously, she worked at the Dodge Yarn Company for 20 years.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and the AARP. She was very active at the Webster Senior Center. She enjoyed sewing and loved playing bingo.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 14, in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
