PATTERSON - Fronita Moore Patterson, 84, passed away peacefully at home early Sunday morning, June 13, 2010 from an extended illness. She was born in Adrian, GA and moved to Fernandina Beach at an early age. Nita, as she was fondly called, worked at The Sandbar restaurant, The Seaside Inn, Winn-Dixie and the Fernandina Beach High School cafeteria. She was a member of the North 14th Street Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward "Pat" Patterson. Survivors include two sons, Steve Adams (Joan) of Jacksonville, FL and Eddie Patterson (Stacy) of Fernandina Beach, FL; a daughter, Carolyn Fountain (David) of Mountain City, GA; two sisters, Elizabeth Fullwood of Fernandina Beach and Margaret Blackmon (Bill) of Equity, AL; sister in law, Mary Helen Garner (Roland) of Raleigh, NC; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 17, in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Green Pine Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
