McGUIRL STOMBER, Edna L. (nee: Davis) age 89 of Oradell, NJ entered into eternal rest on June 12, 2010.
Beloved wife of Donald S. Stomber. Beloved widow of Joseph McGuirl. Devoted mother of Robert J. McGuirl and his wife Gloria, Janet Crowley and her husband Michael. Predeceased by her daughter Claire Dowd and survived by Claire’s husband, Matthew Dowd. Dear sister of Claire Padla, Dorothy Hessler, Marion Reddy and Frank Davis. Predeceased by her siblings: Harold Davis, William Davis, Edward Davis and Annamae Hession. Loving grandmother of Brian and Jennifer McGuirl, Bobby (and his wife Jennifer) and Katie vonBremen, Maureen, Colleen and Matthew Dowd.
Edna was a volunteer for many years at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, NJ. She was recently honored as a 25-year member of the Oradell Book and Needle Club, and was a long-time parishioner at Sacred Heart RCC in Haworth, NJ.
Friends and family are invited for visitation on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Volk-Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell, NJ. Funeral service to begin on Tuesday at 9 AM from the funeral home and then to Sacred Heart RCC in Haworth, NJ for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Edna’s name to your local chapter of The American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
