EULOGY GIVEN AT TERRY'S FUNERAL MASS BY SON TED
On June 17th 1950, the lord presented Henry and Clementine Rochon a beautiful girl and named her Theresa. She grew up to be a wonderful woman who enjoyed singing and playing guitar. As a child, I recall her taking us to different places where she would sing. She continued to sing, but not as a professional like she might have wanted to because she was doing what she loved most…being a mother. She had the voice of an angel. We were all very proud of her. She also had another passion. She always loved horses and she would talk about how she would love to own and raise them. She was able to accomplish that due to the love of her husband and the fact that our mother usually got what she wanted. She had dad wrapped around her finger.
My mother had six children and this is what she heard from us most of the time:
Mom! Mom!
Mummy! Mummy! Mummy!
Mumma! Mumma! Mumma!
Ma! Ma! Ma! Ma!
Mum Mum Mum Mum
Mummy Mummy
Mumma Mumma Mumma
Ma, Ma!!!!
To be followed with...WHAT!!!
She was a wonderful and caring mother and wife as well as a friend. She would do anything for anyone and not expect anything in return. She gave from the kindness of her heart. She lived very strong, and in her last days she fought just as strong.
I now look back on memories I’ve forgotten I had,
And at times I'll smile even though it hurts so bad.
Our mother is a special woman and no one can take her place.
We'll find a piece of mind when we remember her smiling face.
Our mother is an angel now she flies high above the rest,
and in our hearts, always and forever she will be the best.
She has earned her wings and it's time for her to fly,
I know it hurts no one is ever ready to say good-bye.
She knows we do not understand and that we cry at night,
But as we finally drift off to sleep let her memory hold us tight.
She will be our guardian angel through the rest of our life,
Helping lead us on the path between what's wrong and right.
Our mother loves us so very much and her love will always remain true,
Please don't ever think for a second that our mother will forget you.
A mother’s love is like no other in the whole world,
and she has the most wonderful memories of us as little boys and girls.
She has taken them with her as she's flown away,
Up to Heaven free of pain, which is her new home to stay.
So although we can not see her and we wish she could be here,
Our mother can always hear us and she will always care.
A mother does not forget the two greatest loves of her life,
And she loved nothing more than being our mommy, and our daddy's wife.
She is so proud of her family and that's in her heart to stay,
Even though she's an angel and has had to fly away.
So as we cry our tears remember our mother’s love,
Being sent to us from her, from the beautiful Heaven above.
She will be there through our good times; she will be there through our bad,
She'll be there when we are happy; she'll be there when we are sad.
Our mother has become and angel now, it is her time to fly,
And she will never know how bad it hurt to have to say good-bye.
Ma, you've had an impact on everyone's life you have touched and you fought with the heart of a lion. You have left a tremendous legacy. You have six wonderful children, and 17 amazing grandchildren. Heaven truly has an amazing angel. He wanted an angel with a beautiful voice, and you have such a voice Ma. Until we are together once again.
Je T'aime beaucoup maman!!!!!
