
Methuen, MA- Andrew L. Paquette, 81, formerly of Lowell, and more recently of Methuen, died Thursday June 10th 2010 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill surrounded by his family.
Born in Epping, NH on September 24th 1928, Andrew was the son of Lucien and Blanche (Gagnon) Paquette. Andrew served his country in the US Air Force, enlisting in 1946, until being honorably discharged in 1947.
For many years Andrew worked as a fork lift operator at Hanscom Field. He also worked as a custodian for the City of Lowell until his retirement in 1989.
Andrew loved the ocean and especially loved lighthouses, and was a collector of lighthouse memorabilia. He also enjoyed dancing, bike riding and playing pool with his friends at the Senior Center.
Andrew is survived and will be deeply missed by his wife, Rita (Beland) Paquette, his son Michael T. Paquette of MA, 3 step-daughters, Linda Gius and her husband Edward of FL, Gayle Baker of Windham, NH, and Jane Privitera and her husband Sebastian of Methuen. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, Sarah, Joseph, Dara, Benjamin and Candice and one great-grandchild, Skylar, as well as several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Maddy. Mr. Paquette was predeceased by his son Brian Paquette.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, June 13th from 6-8PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA. Funeral services will take place Monday morning at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen. In lieu of flowers and as an expression of sympathy those who wish may make donations in Andrew's name to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701.
