Edward “Chip” Eugene Hutchins, Jr., age 49, of Siloam passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital.
He retired from the Department of Transportation in December 2008 after 30 years of dedicated service. He is survived by his mother, Bernice Hutchins of the home; two brothers, Robert Hutchins and wife Renee of Thurmond; Charles Hutchins and wife Dee of Siloam; one niece Ashley Poston of Statesville; three nephews, Chris Hutchins of Siloam; Andrew Hutchins of Thurmond; Brandon Hutchins of Siloam; one great-niece, Lilly Poston of Statesville, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Eugene Hutchins, Sr. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Church of Corinth, 3433 Siloam Road, Ararat, NC 27007, Attention: Joyce Norman.
