Michael Eric Martinez, Jr., 19, Clarksville, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from noon until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
The remains are to be cremated.
Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born April 2, 1991 in Wiesbaden, Germany. He was preceded in death by his mother, Liane Cheek Johnson.
Michael graduated from Kenwood High School in 2009 and was in JROTC.
Survivors include his father, Michael E. Martinez, Sr., Clarksville; mother, Joanne Collins, Boise, ID; brother, Steven Martinez, Boise, ID; sister, Alisha Martinez, Barstow, CA; paternal grandmother, Maggie Martinez, Vine Grove, KY; and maternal grandfather, William Jones, III; Cedar Hill, TX.
