Laconia-----Gloria J. Drolet, 66, of 14 Webster Street, died at her home on Saturday, June 5, 2010.
Mrs. Drolet was born May 31, 1944 in North Conway, N.H., the daughter of Allan S. and Mary E. (Young) Kenneson. She lived in Tamworth, N.H. for several years and attended business school in Concord for two years.
Mrs. Drolet moved to Laconia forty years ago. She worked for many years at New England Telephone as an operator in the repair office. She also was a secretary for the Faith Christian Academy until she started working at the Concord Savings and finally the Laconia Savings Bank where she retired a few years ago.
Mrs. Drolet enjoyed sewing and knitting and was involved at the South Baptist Church for many years where she served on various boards before becoming a member of the Grace Capital Church with her family. She enjoyed and took great pride in her seven grandchildren whom she loved very much.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-five years, Alan H. Drolet, of Laconia; a son, James A. Drolet, of Loudon; a daughter, Bethany M. Selesky, of Laconia; seven grandchildren, Andrea, Alan, Micah, Quinn, Mya, Mercy and Perrin; her mother, Mary K. Kenneson, of Laconia; a sister, Janet C. Abbott, of Manchester; one nephew and one niece. She was predeceased by her father, Allen Kenneson.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 4:00PM at the Grace Capital Church, 542 Pembroke Street, Pembroke, N.H. A Luncheon will follow the service at the Church.
