Billy James Holt, 74, Clarksville, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at his residence. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service Friday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born November 6, 1935 in Montgomery County son of the late James M. Holt and Helen Clark Holt. He was preceded in death by son Jimmy Holt and brother Charles Holt. He was a retired mechanic and had served in the US Army. Survivors include his wife, Sara Rittenberry Holt; son Jeffrey Holt(Laura); daughter Billie Gibbs (Darrell); sisters, Dorothy Clark and Patricia Bagwell; sister-in-law Linda Holt; and nine grandchildren: Sara, Jeffrey, Rebecka, Hailey, Emily, Kayla, Lauren, Mya, and Jaycee. Pallbearers will be Paul Rittenberry, Steven Lee, Jesse Snyder, Jr; Stan Quintus, Chad Weakley, and Raymond Clinard. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Larsen and Drew Dunnam.
