Obituary

Early H. Perry, Jr., 84 entered his eternal home peacefully on June 5, 2010 after a 4 year bout with Parkinson’s Disease and other health complications.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Nell Perkins Perry, a daughter, Susan Quinlan (Jerry), Louisville, two sons, Ken Perry (Vicki), Indianapolis, Indiana, Steve Perry of Chattanooga, Tennessee, three grandchildren, Jeffrey Quinlan (Kim), Sarah Pardue (Rob), Jennifer Witten (Jeremy), six great grandchildren, and one sister Mary Ann Wright, Cadiz, Kentucky.

Early was an Army Veteran of World War II. He graduated from University of Kentucky with a degree in agriculture. He was the 4-H Extension Director for Christian County, Director of Young Farmer and Safety Programs for Kentucky Farm Bureau and Executive Director of the Community Bankers of Ky.

Early was a member of Southeast Christian Church where he served on the Accounting Team and as a deacon. He was also a Gideon and a member of Jeffersontown Rotary Club. He requested his body to be donated to University of Louisville Department of Anatomical Sciences and Neurobiology Research for help in finding a cure for Parkinson’s Disease.

A celebration of his life will be held at Southeast Christian Church on June 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation with the family to honor Early will be held at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd on June 13, 2010 from 2:00-7:00 p.m.

Donations may be made to Parkinson’s Support Center of Kentuckiana , Hosparus, Gideon International or Southeast Christian Church.
