Dorothy B. (Travers) Wilde, 79, of New Bedford died November 3, 2003 at Sacred Heart Home after a long illness.
She was the wife the late William L. Wilde and daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Zygiel) Travers.
Mrs. Wilde was born in New Bedford and lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a communicant of St. James Church.
Mrs. Wilde was formerly employed by the New Bedford Baking Company for many years until her retirement.
She was a member of the Dancing Dolls who would line dance at many senior citizen events. Mrs. Wilde was a member of several senior citizen groups at local churches and she enjoyed bingo.
Survivors include 3 sons, William L. Wilde, Jr., and his wife Rosemary, of Dartmouth, Daniel J. Wilde, and his wife Linda, and Matthew J. Wilde, and his fiancé Laurie Pereira, all of New Bedford; 2 daughters, Virginia M. Wilde of Dartmouth and Geraldine E. Wilde of New Bedford; 2 brothers, Gilbert Travers of New Bedford and George Travers of Holliston, MA; 2 cousins, Monica Zygiel and Constance Zygiel, both of New Bedford; her dear friends, Bella Medeiros, Joseph and Bernice Ponte, all of Dartmouth and Margaret Arruda of New Bedford; 7 grandchildren, Christie Wilde of Coral Springs, FL, Annemarie Santos of Brooklyn, NY, William Wilde and Michael Wilde, both of Newton, D.J. Wilde, Amanda Wilde and Tyler Ray, all of New Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Joseph Travers.

Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
