Milton Erwin Heimerdinger, of Middleboro, passed away on June 6th at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Jeanette (Harding) and brother of the late Curtis Heimerdinger of Plymouth, he is survived by his daughters Kathryn Heimerdinger of Middleboro and Karen Dusek of Midpines, CA; granddaughters Jessica Slack of Kailua, HI and Rebecca Rosen of Bishop, CA; great-grandson Logan Slack and many nieces and nephews. Born in Rockville, CT in 1924, Milton graduated from Pawtucket East High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society. He enlisted in the US Army Air Corps in 1942, serving during WWII and worked as a communications dispatcher for the Massachusetts State Police, Troop D, Middleboro for over 35 years. He enjoyed gardening, skiing, traveling, walking, the beach, photography and woodworking, but his happiest moments were those he spent with his family. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Middleboro for 50 years and was a dedicated volunteer and supporter of the Soule Homestead Education Center, also in Middleboro. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Church or the Homestead. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 12th at 3 PM at the Manomet Cemetery in Plymouth followed by a memorial service at the First Congregational Church in Middleboro at 4 PM. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth, on Friday, June 11th from 4 to 8 PM.
