Obituary

COCHITUATE: Brian F. “Briola” McDonald, 21, died peacefully in the care and comfort of his family at Childrens Hospital in Boston on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 following a lifetime of challenges.
He was born in Natick on February 15, 1989 the son of John F. “Jack” McDonald, Jr. and Laura J. (Hollett) McDonald.
Besides his parents Jack and Laura of Cochituate, he is also survived by his devoted brothers, David J. McDonald and James Ryan McDonald both of Cochituate. He was the loving grandson of Barbara A. (Weeks) Hollett of Sandwich and the late David J. Hollett who died in 1974, Mary E. (Sullivan) McDonald who died on 1993 and John F. McDonald who died in 1997. Brian is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and a very large extended family who loved him very much. His family wants to express their sincere gratitude and love to Brian’s special care nurses, Michelle Morrell, Martha Aucoin, Betty Simms, Joan Fleming and Cheryl Davidson and the entire Boston College Campus School family.
Brian has been a lifelong resident of Cochituate and attended for over 13 years the Boston College Campus School in Chestnut Hill. He was the center of his family and would light up a room with his contagious smile. He loved to listen to music, to swim and always being around people. He enjoyed listening to the voices of new friends and visitors. He had a wild sense of humor and a charming wit and held a special place in many hearts. He was an enthusiastic sports fan of all of the New England sports teams. He delighted in a special trip to Disney World with his family a few years ago. He will be greatly missed and loved by all the many lives that he touched in his 21 years.



Visitations will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2010 fro, 5:00 to 9:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Cochituate.
Family and friends are invited to his funeral service on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the McDonald family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Cochituate.
In lieu of flowers, his family suggests gifts in his memory may be sent to Children’s Hospital, Trust Designated to PACT (Pediatric Advance Care Team), 1 Autumn St, Boston, MA 02215.
