Obituary

Worcester – Bryan F. Birtz, 58, of Worcester died on Sunday, June 6, in the Saint Francis Home surrounded by his loving family.

Bryan is survived by his wife of 32 years Karen J. (Cloutier) Birtz; three sons Shawn B. Birtz of Lincoln, ME, William J. “BJ” Birtz and his wife Katie of Greenville, NC and Jonathan M. Birtz of Worcester, MA; his mother Gertrude (Ledoux) Birtz Osuch of Rutland, MA; three brothers Durwood Mark Birtz and his wife Donna of Charlton, MA, Scott Birtz and his wife Ruth and Mark Birtz all of Lincoln, ME; two sisters Susan R. Ducharme and her husband Francis and Marianne B. Gemme and her husband Edward all of Rutland, MA; five grandchildren Isaiah, Gavin, Zachary, Dillon and Brycen and many nephews and nieces.

Mr. Birtz was born in Worcester son of the late Durwood Birtz and worked as an auto body repair technician and auto mechanic for many years and previously taught auto body and repair for the Region 3 Technical High School in Lincoln, Maine.

Bryan was a family man at heart that always had an open door in his home for anyone. He belonged to Holy Family Parish where he served as an altar server as a young child, he was a car enthusiast and enjoyed cooking, trips to the beach and playing his guitar.

A Memorial Mass will be held in St. Joseph’s Church 35 Hamilton St. on Thursday, June 10 at 11:00 AM. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. is directing arrangements.
