Rev. George D. Gracey, Jr., 75, Clarksville, died Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Baptist Hospital, Nashville. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday June 13, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church, 213 Main Street , Clarksville with Dr. David Forney and Ann Henderson officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday June 13, 2010 at the church, after the memorial service visitation will follow in the Fellowship Hall with a reception.. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born Feb. 13, 1935 in Covington, TN the son of George Dennis Gracey, Sr. and Katherine McClanahan Gracey. He was retired as Pastor of First Presbyterian Church. After retirement, George ministered at Bellevue Presbyterian Church and Springfield Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife Annelle Gandy Gracey Clarksville, two sons George Dennis Gracey,III(Jeanine) Newtown, PA, David Anderson Gracey(Louise) Atlanta, GA, one daughter Angela Gracey (Azmy Azmy) St. Louis,MO, two sisters Kathryn Gracey Cannon Memphis,TN, Margaret Gracey Owens Germantown, TN. and eight grandchildren.
