George M. Lang, 55 years old, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Wednesday evening at Saints Medical Center in Lowell.
Born in Lowell on May 18, 1955, he was a son of the late Roger J. Lang Jr. and Ruth (Mulvey) Lang and step son of Josephine (Hovasse) Lang who survives him. Mr. Lang received his education in the Lowell schools and furthered his studies at East Coast Aero Tech in the field of Airline Mechanic. Most recently he was employed as a Mail Carrier for the Billerica Post Office.
In addition to his step mother, he is survived by two sons, David and George Martineau of Lowell; a brother and sister in law, Roger J. Lang III and his wife Janet of Lowell; two nephews, Roger “Jay” Lang and Jonathan Lang; a niece, Jill Lang and four cousins.
LANG- At the request of the family there will be no calling hours. Relatives and Friends are invited to his Memorial Funeral Mass on Saturday, June 5 at 10:00 at St. Michael’s Church. Burial will be private. Donations in his memory may be made payable to the Lowell High School Scholarship Fund and sent to Lowell High School, ATTN: Gail Green, 50 Father Morrisette Blvd., Lowell, MA 01852.
