DURBIN, EMIL CURTIS "POP," 79, of Louisville passed away Tuesday June 1, 2010.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of Korea, a mechanical designer for Hussung Mechanical and a past president of Prairie Village Little League. He also was a wine enthusiast and an avid golfer.
Preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Harriett E. Durbin.
Survivors include his five children, Dee Brashear (Steve), Debra Mattingly (John), Donna Durbin, Eric C. Durbin (Joy) and Rick Durbin (Karen); four sisters, Eda Ludwig, Waunda Cox, Jeanette Zirnheld, and Ruth LiCata; three brothers, Carl, John, and Bill Durbin; four grandchildren, Evan C., David, Cecilia; and Andrew; two stepgrandchildren, Matt and Nick; his two cats, Madeline, and Gabrielle.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 1-9 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday.
