Andover, MA - Althea (Laroche) Guilmet, 90, died Friday May 28, 2010 at the Academy Manor Nursing Home.
Born in Lawrence, Althea was the daughter of Alfred and Victoria (Ward) Laroche.
Mrs. Guilmet had been employed at Western Electric Co. of North Andover, and Raytheon of Andover for many years prior to her retirement.
Althea was a former communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Methuen prior to its closing.
A longtime resident of Methuen Althea was the widow of Lucien Guilmet.
Survivors include two daughters; Patricia “Paris” Samataro of Salem, NH, and Jacqueline Nilosek of Bourne, MA, and one son Eugene and his wife Dianne Guilmet of Brentwood, NH, one brother Andrew Laroche of Hampstead, NH, and was predeceased by brothers; Alfred and Roger Laroche, and sisters; Bertha Larkin, Gladys Laroche, Rose Alma Marsan, and Adella Cronin. Survivors also include 4 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial to which relatives and friends are invited will take place on Saturday morning at 9 o’clock in Saint Monicas Church in Methuen with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery of Lawrence.
At Althea’s request there will be no calling hours.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
