New Hampton-----Annie E. Dewhurst, 86, of Dana Hill Road, died at Golden View Healthcare Center, Meredith on Sunday, May 30, 2010.
Annie was born October 28, 1923 in Amesbury, Mass., the daughter of Albert and Susie (Chick) Dewhurst. She lived most of her life in the Laconia area.
Annie loved her church and was a member of the LifeQuest Church, Laconia. She was a member of the J.O.Y. group at the Church and enjoyed Sunday School. She enjoyed the Senior Center and when she was able, she volunteered in the Meals on Wheels Program at the Senior Center’s congregate meal sites. She loved music, dancing, playing bingo and socializing.
Annie was also a member of the New Hampton Garden Club.
Everyone who knew her loved her. She had a wonderful smile and sweet personality.
Annie is survived by a daughter, Margaret Scott, of Florida; three grandchildren and long time friends, Donna and Bob Smith and their children and grandchildren.
A calling hour will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 10:00-11:00AM at the LifeQuest Church, 115 Court Street, Laconia, N.H. followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00AM. also at the Church, Rev. Robert H. Smith, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Laconia, N. H.
