Janet B. McLaughlin, 75, of Metamora passed away on Friday, May 28 at 9:45am at Snyder Village.
She was born November 1, 1934 in Peoria, the only child of Harold and Mary Harvey Beaumont of Chillicothe. She married Dan McLaughlin on October 28, 1954 in Decatur, IL.
They are parents of three children: Jeff (Jodi) McLaughlin of Tempe, Arizona, Julie (Robert) Sackett of Omaha, Nebraska and Amy (Ken) Mauser of Peoria and seven grandchildren. She is further survived by her mother of Peoria. Her father preceded her in death in 1995
Janet graduated from Millikin University in 1955 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Drama. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and also inducted into Phi Kappa Phi, an honorary academic society.
She was active in P.E.O. for many years. She was a member and Deacon of Northminster Presbyterian Church in Peoria.
For most of her life she was a homemaker, mother and wife.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 11:00a.m Thursday June 3rd at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to her service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Snyder Village, 1200 East Partridge Street, Metamora, IL 61548 or Northminster Presbyterian Church, 10720 N. Knoxville, Peoria, IL 61615.
