EAST TAUNTON – Maria E. (Medeiros) Leite, wife of Manuel Leite died at Morton Hospital & Medical Center on May 30, 2010.
She was 48.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of Antonio R. Medeiros and the late Adelina C. (Melo) Medeiros.
Raised and educated in the Azores, she moved to this area in 1987.
Mrs. Leite was employed by the St. Gobain Corporation in Taunton for 12 years.
She enjoyed traveling, cruises and gardening.
Besides her father of St. Michael, and husband of E. Taunton, she leaves a son, Denis M. Leite of E. Taunton; two brothers, Jose L. Medeiros of Brazil and Antonio M. Medeiros of NY; a sister Maria O. Medeiros of St. Michael; and twelve nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Marcelino M. Medeiros.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Wednesday, June 2nd at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 9 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 1st from 5 to 8 p.m.
