Gilmanton Iron Works-----Elaine Ruth Courtemanche, 67, of 569 Crystal Lake Road, died at Lahey Clinic Hospital, Burlington, Mass. on Thursday, May 27, 2010.
Mrs. Courtemanche was born November 10, 1942 in Middletown, Conn, the daughter of Leonard G. & Ruth E. (Odette) Stocking.
Mrs. Courtemanche resided in Manchester for several years before moving to Epping in 1970. In 1995, she moved to Gilmanton Iron Works and was a member of the Gilmanton Community Church, Gilmanton Iron Works. She was a C.N.A. for twenty-two years and was employed at the Rockingham Nursing Home, retiring in 1995.
Mrs. Courtemanche is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Robert J. Courtemanche, of Gilmanton Iron Works; three sons, Michael Courtemanche and his wife, Emily, of Hollis, N.H., Marcel Courtemanche and his wife, Collette, of Skowhegan, Maine and Robert F. Courtemanche and his wife, Roberta, of St. Cloud, Florida; three daughters, Ellen Courtemanche of Newmarket, N.H., Sharon Courtemanche of Nottingham, N.H. and Jenny Kaichen and her husband, Todd, also of Nottingham, N.H.; eleven grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, Wendy, Daniel, Nicholas, Tyler, Joshua , Ashley, Michael, Clayton and Deanna. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Courtemanche was predeceased by her brother, Michael Stocking, in January, 2008.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 11:00am at the Gilmanton Community Church, 1807 NH Route 140, Gilmanton Iron Works, N.H. Rev. Christopher Stevens, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, Montana 59004-1001 or to St. Joseph Indian School, Chamberlain, S. D. 57326.
