Roger "Dino" Rebeiro, 69, of New Bedford died May 28, 2010 at home surrounded by his family.
He was the husband of Robin (Xifaras) Rebeiro.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Manuel C. and Amelia P. (Pires) Rebeiro, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Rebeiro was a member of the International Church of the Nazarene.
He was formerly employed in the maintenance department with the city of New Bedford before retiring from the New Bedford School Department.
Mr. Rebeiro volunteered his time and talent building homes for the poor in Brazil and supporting children in third world countries. He enjoyed being with his family especially his grandchildren and he enjoyed travel.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Christie Gomes and her husband David of New Bedford; a son, Jason Rebeiro and his wife Nakisha of Kissimmee, FL; 3 brothers, Archie Rebeiro and Albert Rebeiro, both of New Bedford and David Rebeiro of Dartmouth; 4 sisters, Dolores Richardson and Vivian Evora, both of New Bedford, Amelia "Cookie" Rebeiro of Dartmouth and Elizabeth Tavares of Boston; 3 grandchildren, David, Jasun and Jaeclyn; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was the brother of the late Jack Rebeiro, Manuel Rebeiro, Jr., Norman Rebeiro and Robert Rebeiro.
His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 1st at 11 AM in the International Church of the Nazarene. Visiting hours Monday, May 31st from 5-9 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
